Hostgator Review

Now I am not going to bore you by going into great technical detail about all the features the Hostgator offers like the scripts that allow you to really jazz up your websites. I am sure that hostgator compares quite well or even better with other hosting companies in respect to technical specifications... You can check this yourself, but believe me I have done so many comparisons myself.

No, no, I want to tell you what sets hostgator apart from the rest... and I am going to do it by relating my own personal experience...

Hostgator allows you to host an UNLIMITED number of domains for one low, fixed monthly price!

There are hosting companies which charge you extra for each new domain that you add on to your account.

There are other hosting companies allow you to host more than one domain without extra costs per domain, but there is usually a limit to the number of domains. I have come across companies that allow you to host up to 5 sites, some that allow to host up to 10 and some up to 30... but with hostgator, there is NO LIMIT.

Prior to using Hostgator, I used to pay about $24/month for one domain. When I wanted to add on another domain, I was asked to pay an additional $6 per month!!!

That's when I began long and laborious search for another hosting company and that's when I found Hostgator. I now have about 12 sites... and I only pay $9.95 per month.

Transferring your site to Hostgator is hassle-free and done at no additional costs

Now you may think that if you want to transfer your sites from your present hosting company (because they are robbing you blind!) to Hostgator would be a tremendous exercise.

Well it isn't! Hostgator makes the process very hassle free and they don't charge you anything extra... what a welcome present.

 Customer care and support is absolute top-notch. 

I have never had to wait more than a couple of hours for a response from them. Infact let me relate a short story to you...

"... Some time ago, I was interested in purchasing a content management software that would easily enable me to easily build content sites and membership sites. As a marketing strategy, the owners of the software indicated that on launch day, they would sell a limited number of units for a limited time and for an extremely reduced price!! There was therefore going to be a mad rush on launch date... talk about marketing tactic!

Anyways, on launch day, as I was reading the sales page, I noticed that there were a number of technical specifications that my hosting company had to have in order for me to use the software... things I have never heard about...

I quickly sent an email to hostgator asking about whether they met the specifications and explaining them the urgency of the matter. Within a few minutes, I got a response indicating that Hostgator did indeed meet the specifications. But further than that, they indicated that because of the urgency of the matter, they'll be looking out for any other questions that I may have!! Wow!!

This story says two things - Hostgator is highly technically capable and their support is excellent... "

So there you have it... Three reasons why I belief Hostgator is simply the best hosting company.
